Cut the Crap: 3 Approachable Things I Actually Do to Be Healthier

Let’s be real for a second—health and fitness has gotten way too complicated.

Perhaps every time you scroll through the “wellness” side of the internet, you’re bombarded with people drinking algae smoothies, spending hours in the gym, or dropping hundreds of dollars at Whole Foods like it’s no big deal.
If that’s not your reality, it’s easy to feel like you’re failing, like health is some elite club you can’t quite afford (in time, energy, or cash).
But here’s the good news: you don’t need to overhaul your life to feel better in your body. Today I would like to give you 3 super simple tips that I actually do to stay healthy—and nope, they don’t involve a $500 blender or a 6-day-a-week gym routine. Let's get to it!

🌞 1. Take a 10-Minute Morning Walk
If some days feel like a solid bit of exercise might not be on the menu, that’s okay! Instead, it may feel easier to aim for at least 10 minutes of movement in the morning—just a short walk to wake up my body, boost my mood, and check “exercise” off the list before life gets chaotic.
Even just 10 minutes of walking can:
Boost blood flow (hello, heart health!)
Improve mood + reduce anxiety
Sharpen focus + cognitive function
Support digestion + blood sugar regulation
Strengthen bones and joints
Help manage weight without the stressPro tip: I got a $100 walking pad on Amazon so I can roll out of bed and walk without even leaving the house. But you don’t need any fancy equipment—just get outside, breathe some fresh air, and move your legs.
✨ It’s free, it’s doable, and it makes a difference.
🍓 2. Batch Prep Fruits & Veggies
Cooking from scratch every meal? #Exhausting
Batch prepping has saved me so much time and stress. When fruits and veggies are washed, chopped, and ready to go, it’s 100x easier to eat them consistently—no excuses.

Here’s what that looks like for me:
Toss a big bag of veggies in the air fryer (season with olive oil, garlic, whatever you like).
Wash and cut fruit ahead of time—makes breakfast bowls and snacks a breeze.
Store it all in containers so you can grab-n-go without the “ugh, I have to cook” mental battle.
This makes it so much easier to slap some micronutrients, fiber, and antioxidants onto your plate.
🧘♀️ 3. Do Home Workouts
I’m gonna be honest—if getting a good workout meant getting ready, driving across town, and fighting for a squat rack (LOL), I wouldn’t work out much. Plus, driving gives me anxiety so, if there's anything I can do instead of having to drive somewhere, you can bet I’m gonna do it.

Instead, I workout at home! Home workouts are:
Free (YouTube is a goldmine)
Low pressure
Time-saving
Just as effective for health. (Any form of exercise is great, even if it's not in a gym or an hour long!)
All you need is a mat (Dollar Store or Five Below mats work fine) and a little space. Add some resistance bands or dumbbells later if you want.

Whether it’s 15 minutes of pilates, a 20-minute dance workout, or stretching before bed, it all counts. You don’t need to “earn your food” or “go hard” to be healthy. You just need to move in a way that feels good to you.
💬 Final Thoughts
You don’t need to be rich, ripped, or regimented to feel healthier.
You just need small, sustainable actions that fit into your real life.
